The City of Manhattan Beach is seeking applications from residents and community stakeholders interested in serving on a roster of qualified individuals for future Art in Public Places Committees (APPC).
The APPC is a special, project-specific committee formed for each public art initiative. Members play a vital role in shaping the cultural landscape of Manhattan Beach by reviewing and evaluating artist applications and helping to select artists to be recommended for public art projects throughout the city.
Serving on an APPC is a unique opportunity to:
- Contribute to the growth of public art in Manhattan Beach
- Support the City’s vision for arts and culture
- Ensure that public art reflects the character and values of the community
- Gain hands-on experience in the artist selection and public art process
The City welcomes applications from residents, artists, design professionals, cultural leaders, and community stakeholders with a passion for public art and civic engagement.
