City of Manhattan Beach - America 250 Poster Contest

The City of Manhattan Beach invites local artists of all ages and experience levels to participate in the America 250 Poster Contest, celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary through original artwork that reflects community, history, and the American spirit. This contest offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a once-in-a-generation milestone.

The selected design will serve as the official poster for the City’s America 250 celebrations. The winning artist will be recognized by the Mayor and presented with a framed print of their work at the Salute to the Troops Concert in the Park on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Submission Criteria & Eligibility

  • Applicants must live, work, or play in Manhattan Beach

  • Open to all ages

  • Artwork must be an original design

  • Final size must be 11" x 17"

  • Submit as a print-quality PDF

  • Design must include the text: “Manhattan Beach” and “America 250”

  • Leave space for the City of Manhattan Beach logo in the bottom right corner

  • No monetary prize will be awarded

  • The selected artist must grant the City full rights to use, reproduce, and distribute the design

  • Submission deadline: 12:00 PM (noon) on Monday, June 1, 2026 (late submissions will not be considered)

Key Dates

  • June 1, 2026 (12:00 PM): Submission deadline

  • June 15, 2026: Winner announced

  • July 5, 2026: Winner recognized at Salute to the Troops Concert in the Park
