APPLICATION DEADLINE: Thursday, April 16, 2026, by 5:00 PM.

INTERVIEWS: Qualified applicants will be interviewed by the City Council on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at a time and location to be determined.

  • You must be a registered voter of the City of Manhattan Beach.
  • Complete the entire application. 
  • Failure to respond to any question will make your application incomplete. 
  • Please answer "none" or "not applicable" where appropriate.
  • Incorrect or false statements may cause rejection or dismissal.

Attendance

The Seven (7) Available Board and Commissions Meet on the Following Days and Times:

Cultural Arts Commission: 3rd Monday of every month at 4:00 PM.

Library Commission: 2nd Monday of every month at 4:00 PM.

Parks and Recreation Commission: 4th Monday of every month at 4:00 PM.

Parking & Public Improvements Commission: 4th Thursday of every month at 4:00 PM.

Planning Commission: 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at 3:00 PM.

Board of Building Appeals: On an as-needed basis.

Los Angeles County West Vector Control District: Once every two months on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM at the District's headquarters located at 6750 Centinela Avenue, Culver City. There are a total of six meetings per year (January, March, May, July, September, November).  The term for this appointment would begin on January 1, 2027, and lasts for two years for first time appointees.
